After beating off strong competition from top resorts and safari camps in South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Zambia – Sun International’s Royal Livingstone is among the favourite travel destinations according to the readers of US travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler.

Over 40 000 readers participated in the survey, now in its 25th year. The ratings given to all hotels, resorts, safari camps and even cruise ships are based on traveller’s opinion of their best holiday encounters around the world.

“The Condé Nast Traveler awards are highly prestigious as the votes are cast independently by seasoned travelers. They make their comparisons from a host of other properties around the world”, says General Manager Joanne Selby. “The Royal Livingstone is honoured to have received this recognition, and with the completion of a US$7m Royal Livingstone Hotel refurbishment by mid December 2012, we look forward to welcoming more guests to our beautiful part of Africa.”

Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, within both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, The Royal Livingstone Hotel has been praised for its superb accommodation, service and food.
